Apply to EF Singapore’s second cohort
Today we open applications for the second EF Singapore cohort, which will kick off in September 2017.
One of the reasons we started Entrepreneur First is that we believe that it really matters what the most ambitious people do with their lives.
And, right now, we believe that the best choice for these people is to start a technology company.
If you have technical skills, for the first time in human history you have the power to build a product in your bedroom that can have an impact on a billion people. We built Entrepreneur First to be the best possible environment for technical individuals to get the support they need to realise their ambitions. Over the last four years in London, we’ve supported over 300 individuals to build 100 technology companies that are today worth over $500m. Our startups are working on everything from artificial intelligence to robotics, from infrastructure to financial technology.
As of Monday, our first programme will be live in Singapore — and we couldn’t be more excited about the talent in this ecosystem. That’s why we’re going to double the size of our intake, which means we’re looking for the 100 best computer scientists, engineers and developers in the region.
The support EF Singapore offers is world class. In addition to financial support and investment, we’ve built an extraordinary team of Partners — each of them successful entrepreneurs who are now dedicated to working with the new generation of founders in Singapore.
I am delighted to announce that See Ho Ting, Shao Ning Huang, and Teik Guan Tan are joining us as Partners. Their backgrounds, experiences and credentials speak for themselves and underline our ambition to build world-beating companies in Singapore:
- See Ho was a professor at NTU before he started Yfind, which used wifi signals for tracking and security indoors. Yfind was acquired by Ruckus in 2013. Since then he’s lead their Wireless Technology team. See Ho is both technical and commercial.
- Shao Ning started JobsCentral after working at IBM, and grew it over 10 years into one of the largest job portals in Asia. JobsCentral was acquired by CareerBuilder in 2011, in one of Singapore’s largest tech exits at the time. Since then she has been an active angel investor.
- Teik Guan started DS3 after leaving his scholarship with the MAS, and grew DS3 for more than a decade. DS3 provided authentication software to more than 50 financial banks around the world, and was acquired by Gemalto in 2012. Since Gemalto, Teik Guan has been IIPL’s Mentor in Residence.
If you’d like to work with them and the rest of the EF team to build something that changes the world, apply now.
